THE JOURNEY TO WELLNESS COMES FROM EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

Traditional Therapy

We start by talking — you tell me what's going on, and I help you make sense of it. But this isn't general counseling. I'm a specialist in trauma, EMDR, addiction and anger management, and that training shapes every session, whether or not we're using a specific method that day.

Anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, and the kind of low self-esteem that's been running quietly in the background for years — all of that belongs in the room. What makes it work isn't a technique. It's having somewhere you can say the true thing out loud and not be managed for it.

Addiction & Recovery

Addiction rarely arrives on its own, and it rarely responds to being treated as a separate problem from everything underneath it.

As a Licensed Master Addiction Counselor I work with drugs, alcohol, sex, gambling and porn. Whether you're early in recovery, back after a relapse, or still deciding what you want to change, this is a place to be honest about it without being managed or lectured.

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

Some memories don't settle. Years later they can still hijack an ordinary moment — your body reacts first, and understanding why has never been enough to stop it.

That's what EMDR is for. Instead of talking a memory through again, it uses bilateral stimulation — I use tappers, small pulsers you hold, one in each hand, buzzing left then right — while you hold the memory in mind, so your brain can reprocess it and it stops landing like it's still happening. You don't have to retell everything in detail for it to work, and we build your resourcing first, so you're not walking into the hardest material unprepared.

I'm Level 2 trained, and I use EMDR with around sixty percent of the people I see. Not everyone needs it, and it isn't the whole of what we'd do together — but when it's the right tool, it moves things that talking hasn't.

Anger Management

Anger usually isn't the problem. It's the part that shows up loudest. Underneath it there's often hurt, fear, or a boundary that got crossed a long time ago and never got named.

As a Certified Specialist in Anger Management, I'll help you slow the reaction down enough to see what's driving it — and give you something to do with it other than swallowing it or letting it run the room.

Sex-Therapy-Informed Care

Sex and intimacy come up in therapy whether or not they're the reason you came in.

I'm a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional, which means you can raise this here without managing my reaction or explaining why it matters. Desire, mismatch, shame, the way trauma reaches into intimacy — all workable, and none of it too much to bring.

Trauma-Focused Coaching

Trauma shapes more than memory. It changes what feels safe, how much of your attention goes to scanning for the next problem, and how much of you is left over for anything else.

I'm less interested in getting the story out of you than in helping you build the capacity to hold it. Steadiness first, then the harder material, at whatever pace your system can actually tolerate.
